Presentation Tools

Presentation Options

Presenting content to students can be done a a wide variety of ways. And technology makes for more interactive and engaging experiences.

Slideshows can be made in PowerPoint, and Google Slides and when shared can be used as collaboration tools with multiple editors.

Interactive whiteboards work best with software created to work well with them. Smart Notebook and Active Inspire are paid software which come with the boards. Online alternatives such as Class Flow, Liveboard and the open source Open Board are worth investigating.

There are also online whiteboards such as Whiteboard Fi and Chrome Canvas which are simple and affective drawing options and can be collaborative too, such as Jamboard in Drive.

More recent tools such as Prezi and Emaze make the presentations more engaging and incorporate more digital media.

Pear Deck transforms the side show into an interactive lesson where students each access and participate with the presentation, showing what they think, adding feedback and being active rather than passively watching the slides.

Gynzy is more than a presentation and allows the interactive white board to be used as a full class learning with the teacher and students to actively use the board during the class.

Many of these option also have a library of classes to reuse and edit.

There are many websites that offer teachers presentation to reuse, both free and paid, but the amazing and free Slides Mania templates are very popular.
